Concealed Weapon Slot
The concealed weapon slot is a specific slot that allows you to carry pistols into an operation. Some players use this to help reach certain achievements particularly those who are going for Suit Only. Some players make use of the extra pistol to fill in a gap. It is important to remember that in order to choose the pistols for this slot you must click on the button for the appropriate category for example, alternate slot 2 machine guns. Major Expedition and Adept Rider are in use, making it much easier to use. This combo can also trigger a damage tick from Concealed Weapon every 10 seconds for as long as you have it placed in.
Smuggled Item Slot
The smuggled items slot is a good feature for allowing players to bring in weapons and tools, but it could be improved with a better affordance. It's currently designed as pistols, which makes it hard to differentiate the smuggled item slot from other gear slots.
The smuggle slot can be used to store a variety of items - from concussion devices to explosives for weapons to more subtle concussions. These items are hidden in inconspicuous places around the map and can be recovered at any moment. Smuggled items are different from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes that hide small objects hidden in the scenery and objects.
Mission planning is a function available in short-term missions that allow players to gain access to different starting points equipment, smuggled items, and slots ahead of their entry into the map. The options for planning increase as players complete challenges and obtain higher Mission Mastery levels. This lets players prepare the best mission for every challenge.
Gear Slot
The gear slots will quickly fill up early in the game, leading to the frequently-repeated message "Your Gear Slots Are Full". This message prevents Max to pick new equipment until the previous items are removed or more space has been obtained. The solution to this issue is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which provide more inventory space in exchange for the completion of challenging missions. Since a lot of these challenges are not completed and are scattered across the globe, it might take a while to get the most inventory slots available in the game.
Each player has up to five different types of gear in their five Gear Slots. They must be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to a Break-In. Each gear item (except for the Pistol) will take up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as a grouping of Grenades) only uses one Gear Slot.
Agency Pickups
As you advance through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock various agency pickups that are on the map. These locations let you store items that do not fit into your slot for gear or weapon and then retrieve it later.
These pickups are particularly useful when you have to pass through a frisk at the end of the course of your mission or if you're carrying a weapon that could otherwise cause suspicion. You can only conceal one item per game at a pickup location for agencies.
This DLC includes new contracts for security and asset protection to the agency. To start these missions, just talk to the receptionist at the agency and purchase armor and snacks. Then, head to the stated mission marker and spot a group when you arrive.
